Wilbur Lim - 40 Under 40 Asia List and Local List
Published on 31st October, 2026 by The Secretariat
Managing Director, Mr. Wilbur Lim, has been selected and named in both the LexisNexis 40 under 40 Asia List 2026 and the 40 under 40 Southeast Asia List 2026.
Every year, LexisNexis rankings celebrate lawyers and legal professionals aged 40 or under whose work shows exceptional promise, measurable impact, and the leadership potential to shape what comes next. The local Southeast Asia List requires nominees to show their achievements within their local market. On the other hand, the Asia List requires nominees to display regional relevance and their ability to lead and collaborate across Asia markets and jurisdictions.
Mr. Lim is one of the only five practising Singapore lawyers named in the Asia List this year. He is recognised for his sole authorship of three separate volumes of the Halsbury Laws of Singapore in 2026 and his regional arbitration work.

Wilbur Lim combines specialist disputes practice with legal authorship and the leadership of a regional firm network. As Managing Director of WMH Law Corporation, he advises on defamation, reputation protection, and international arbitration, bringing detailed legal analysis to disputes that often involve parties and evidence across borders.
His regional arbitration work includes representing an Indonesian company in a Singapore-seated SIAC dispute concerning a jetty project, with more than US$80 million in dispute. The matter involved an Asian listed counterparty and experts from several jurisdictions. Other work includes an arbitration for a global pharmaceutical company concerning high-technology equipment and automation processes. These mandates require the coordination of technical evidence and legal strategy across different commercial settings.
Lim’s specialist research also supports the profession beyond individual clients. He was selected to author the 2026 revised Defamation volume of Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore as well as the 2026 revised Evidence volumes I and II of Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore. His research addresses issues such as the appropriate forum for online defamation originating outside Singapore, connecting a specialist domestic practice with the realities of international publication.
Since establishing his firm in 2016, the firm has developed relationships in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Greater China through the WMH Regency Network. Those relationships support regional disputes and transactional work, including advice on the construction and operation of an international hotel in the Chinese Mainland. His Mandarin capability helps him work directly across legal and commercial teams.
Within the practice, Lim has developed a more structured route from a defamation enquiry to advice, combining an accessible knowledge portal with prompt consultation and clear cost proposals. He also contributes to construction-law reform work through the Singapore Academy of Law’s Law Reform Subcommittee. His contribution joins specialist advocacy with resources and professional relationships that make that expertise useful across the region.
