A former diplomat trained in economics and political science, Gursharn graduated from the Juris Doctor programme and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court. An avid mooter in law school, Gursharn had won and/or achieved outstanding results in numerous local and international moots:-

a. Howard Hunter Moot (Winner);

b. Attorney-General's Cup (Semi-Finalist);

c. WongPartnership International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Semi-Finalist);

d. Frankfurt Investment Arbitration moot held in Frankfurt, Germany, 2016 (Lead Oralist); and

e. Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot held in Oxford University, 2017 (Lead Oralist).

Gursharn’s primary practice focus has been on commercial and civil litigation, and he has had conduct of various matters before the High Court and State Court as lead counsel. Amongst other things, he has successfully acted for clients in obtaining summary judgments in their favour, resisting striking out applications and having Personal Protection Orders set aside. He also has considerable corporate experience, advising clients on, amongst other things, employment contracts, incorporation agreements and non-disclosure agreements.

Apart from extensive experience in landlord-tenant, employment, defamation and contractual disputes, he also has significant trial experience, being part of teams that acted for clients in the recovery of monies extended pursuant to oral agreements and in medical negligence suits. Outside the law, Gursharn enjoys spending his time playing sports. He can also be found watching horror movies or enjoying a nice stroll with his family.
